Harken and Jeanneau to Launch “Demo Afloat” at Annapolis U.S. Sailboat Show
PEWAUKEE, Wis. – Jeanneau America and Harken are teaming up at the 2018 United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis to launch “Demo Afloat,” a hands-on opportunity to experience Harken sailing products aboard a 2019 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 419 – without even leaving the dock. Sailors can try Harken electric winches, a Reflex® Top-Down kite furler, a headsail furler and Harken’s newest popularly priced Element™ blocks.
“At Harken, we try very hard to build interactive product displays for our boat show stands that simulate the way the product will work on board,” said Jim Andersen, Harken’s director of North American sales. “But there are still limitations to what we can demonstrate inside our tent. We’re so thankful to our friends at Jeanneau, who are letting us provide product demonstrations in full scale on the Sun Odyssey 419.”
“We’re pleased anytime a group of knowledgeable sailors come to compare or test the equipment available on our boats,” said Catherine Guiader, Sales Manager North America Sail – Jeanneau America Inc. “All the Harken equipment being demonstrated on the Sun Odyssey line is available or comes standard. I’m confident the sailors will be impressed with all aspects of their floating classroom.”

Friday, October 5...........................11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
